Meet Ms. Amy

Hi, I’m Amy, a San Diego native and the owner and educator behind Growing Tree Daycare. I am a CPR and First Aid–certified, California state–licensed childcare provider with over eight years of trusted, hands-on experience, along with an Associate’s degree in Behavioral Science. Growing Tree Daycare is a nurturing home environment designed to support cooperative play, curiosity, and child-led learning. With a low teacher-to-child ratio, I’m able to provide personalized attention and help each child build the confidence, independence, and social skills they’ll carry with them for years to come. Rather than following a rigid curriculum, I focus on creating meaningful learning experiences through play, exploration, and everyday discovery. Children in my care are encouraged to ask questions, try new things, and understand that mistakes are a natural and important part of learning. My space features thoughtfully curated learning areas that inspire creativity, independence, and imagination while helping children feel comfortable and engaged. Above all, I am committed to providing a safe, supportive, and loving environment where children feel valued, families feel confident, and meaningful relationships can grow.
